SUNY Binghamton vs. Stony Brook

live in NYC, wanting to major in management, probably ultimately going to law school (probably top 10).

which is better? list reasons…
thanks.

Both are good schools, to me it is a matter of personal choice. Both schools have a large population of kids from Long Island, stonybrook just makes it easier for them to leave campus on the weekend which leads to Stonybrook being more of a suitcase schol. But since you live in NYC, this may appeal to you to come hang in the city on the weekends.

Parents also have a thread about the SUNY schools. Hope this helps

You might also log onto the Binghamton thread to get another idea; there was no activity on the Stony Brook one, BTW.

Let us know your take on both schools based on what you're reading. BTW, the Management School at Binghamton is very well-regarded.

Binghamton is a heart beat!!

It is the most prestigious SUNY

[Stonybrook has a horrible campus also]

in my opinion, Binghamton and Geneseo are the only two highly respectable SUNYs, Stonybrook is a distant third

Stonybrook would be the obvious choice if you were pre-med but since you are pre-law I'd say Binghamton.
