I was filling out the forms and found tht SUNY Brockport does not require an essay? Am I mistaken or is it for real? You know for SUNY college admissions, we hv to enter the main SUNY admission portal. Anyone who applied to SUNYs especially Brockport please give ur feedback. I went through the online application.
Yeah and good morning!

SUNY Mom here-- Skygirl you gotta click onto "Supplemental Application" (left hand column on "Suny Apply" portion of website). There is definitely a supplemental application for Brockport as well as many of the Suny colleges. (oops- I am going to double check that- I might have checked out Oneonta instead of Brockport) My d is now a sophomore at Cortland but did also apply to Brockport and Oneonta too.
It really is early in the Admission cycle for next year. Please make sure that the application process is in place for you. Sometimes the websites are not updated until August for the next crop of applicants and they show the "old application". That could lead to undue complications.
Honestly- it might be a wee too early to apply for next year. But it is definitely a good idea to check out the current supplemental essay as it will allow you to think about your essay.

OK- just double checked. Brockport does not show up on the supplemental essay listing. But I really do think that the SUNY application has not yet updated itself for your Admission cycle.
I suggest you enjoy the summer and check again in August /September. When my d applied to Buff State last year, she did not need a supplemental essay. Last cycle they required one. So things do change.
