Hi,
I am about to graduate this upcoming semester with my accounting degree from UAlbany. With plans of attending grad school, I am faced with taking the GMAT. However, after looking into Brockport’s MS Forensic Accounting program, the GMAT is waived if you have a 3.25 or higher.
Admittedly, this is the primary reason that I am so attracted to the degree program. However, I am actually interested in forensic accounting; I have highly considered the program for forensic accounting here at UAlbany, but they require GMAT scores.
I am not trying to be lazy and apply to schools that do not require the GMAT; I am still going to take the exam. However, in the event that I do really poorly, Brockport and other colleges that don’t require the GMAT may be my only options.
With all of that being said, how well of an education will I receive at Brockport? I am NOT trying to step on any toes by saying this, but I feel like going to Brockport from UAlbany would be a step down. I am NOT trying to be offensive! I am basing my assumptions off of college rankings I’ve found online and other sources; overall, it just seems like SUNY B is ranked lower than SUNY A, which to me, honestly doesn’t bother me.
The overall goal is to get my CPA license. I am sure Brockport has helped many, many people achieve this goal. Still though, I just wanted to inquire about the college.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
