SUNY Buffalo--> Cornell

well, well, well.... you might wonder how I can even think of transferring from a SUNY to an Ivy. But I feel applying never hurts. (apart from all the application process and ****) lol!

Here are my stats-
I'm a business major.

College GPA: 3.9

Work experience: International Student Advisor, TA for the linguistic department (Hindi), Computer Desk Consultant -- (fall '05- spring '06)

Worked at father's logistics and warehousing company for 3months in summer '06

International Student Advisor, Resident Advisor -- fall '06- present

anticpated cumulative GPA- 3.75 (end of sophomore year)

Please let me know if it's even worth applying, considering my pretty decent ec's and GPA.

Note: i havent mentioned my SAT scores because they are not required as a transfer student, and they sucked as it is!

I'd say it's worth a try. Ur GPA is high enough. Give it a go or else u'll regret it in the future. Might sound stupid, but reach for the stars because you never know...GL!

" i havent mentioned my SAT scores because they are not required as a transfer student"

has the policy changed? Last I knew, they are required.

I think the policy has changed. I was at an info session earlier this week (im an ambassador) and they said transfers don't have to send in SAT scores......

I'm an ambassador too (actually, president of my ambassadors) and my understanding is if you havn't taken the SAT then you don't need to take it - but I havn't seen any other line drawn. Weird.

the usnews.com website states that for a transfer submitting SAT scores is recommended. http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/directory/premium/drtransfer_2711.php

SUNY schools are still excellent, so dont be fooled. I think you have a good chance!! WHy not?

yeah?..... l
