I'm looking around at a lot of SUNY schools. My grades are borderline for Binghamton, but they're higher than Buffalo's average. My question is, if I choose to go to Buffalo (and do well there), will I be at a disadvantage (compared to a student who went to Binghamton)? I know Binghamton has a lot of connections with the Big 4 accounting firms, but the place seems so dreary. A bunch of my friends have already decided to go to Buffalo, as well. What do you guys think? I've heard that as long as you get your CPA, you'll be alright. Am I assuming too much?

There's really no such thing as a bad accounting school. There's the top accounting schools, but other than that, everything else is pretty similar.

The prestige factor is minimal from what I understand. As long as the school is AACSB-accredited and known to house smart students. Buffalo has Binghamton beat on location. Students can have fall/spring internships, frequent meetings with recruiters, etc.
