I'm right now sophomore at SUNY Buffalo.
I want to transfer to NYU.

I am an International student from India.

here are my stats-

SAT 1 (Old SAT): 1050/1600
CUMULATIVE COLLEGE GPA: 3.8
MAJOR: Business Administration
SUMMER INTERNESHIP: at a Local Company in India for 1 1/2 months + SUMMER SCHOOL at LSE (London School Of Economics)

Good GPA, some interesting EC's but if you're applying to Stern that SAT score may come to haunt you. They may look at it less considering you're currently a sophomore.

stern is SAT-heavy... I"m a current freshman. First day of orientation our dean told us 1 in 4 sternies got 1500 or higher on the old scale. But then again sophomore transfer, they are more concerned with college performance than SAT scores, so you might have some slack there. I also actually know 5-7 indian sternies here

the nyu website states- "Please note that the Leonard N. Stern School of Business will not consider for transfer admission students who enter NYU by transferring into another NYU school or college."

Is that hold true if I apply to CAS and then reapply to Stern after 2 semesters?

Hmm...that is strange. I know that you can apply to transfer into Stern if you're already in NYU, but maybe for those who transfer first into NYU (not Stern) and then try to transfer internally into Stern it wastes too much time and doesn't allow one for enough time to complete the Stern curriculum. Just a guess...
