Hey,
I've been accepted into both SUNY Albany and SUNY Buffalo so far and was wondering which is a better program for Business. I'm looking to go either into accounting or management so which school would be better for a good job placement as well as quality of education?

I’m not too sure specifically about their business programs, but I do know that UB is considered a more prestigious school overall than Albany (and not just marginally).

Would you put Stony Brook University higher than both Albany and Buffalo? I am still waiting on their decision, but I applied for economics at SB. Would an econ degree hurt my chances for a job in the financial sector?

An econ degree is not the same as a business/finance/accounting degree. Econ becomes very theoretical at the high levels and is typically done as part of a liberal arts program. In a business school you typically take a group of business core classes (ex. accounting/b-law/finance/mgmt. etc) which will give you an overall good background in addition to the classes in your major. Either major is fine, but there is a difference. While you can get a job in the financial sector with an econ. major, I think business degree would be helpful.
