So after much thought, I've decided that my ideal school of choice would be SUNY Fredonia as a Sound Recording Technology major. My question, however, would be if I have a decent chance of getting into the program (for anyone who might know about the admissions process here). As far as getting into the program, I read online that they accept about 10-15 of 60-70 people a year. I also read that they give preference to students with high academic achievement in math and science areas. My science history is pretty solid, however my math not so much. In the past, I've taken 4 years of math (Alg I, Geometry, Alg II, and Precalc) and I believe I have a D in Alg II and an F in precalc (currently fixing this through credit recovery however). Assuming that I have about a 3.5 GPA and could have a great audition (I'm fairly confident in my audition/interview and I still have a few months to work on repetoire and whatnot), do I still have any chance of getting into this program? My main worry is in my math scores. I apologize if this question seems disjointed or if I haven't given enough information to accurately predict my chances. But if anyone could give me an idea of whether I still have a chance or not, I'd greatly appreciate it.
