SUNY Geneseo/Binghamton

I'm an NY resident, as you might have guessed, at a smallish public school upstate. I'm looking at Geneseo and Binghamton as strong options, in large part due to affordability.

I'm a junior so some of these numbers are approximate/not final/making slight and reasonable assumptions about the future. But if you'd be willing to quickly evaluate this I'd be very grateful!

GPA: 3.7 UW
Rank: Probably lower end of top 20%.
APs: Physics
English
Calculus next year, and probably two others.
Two college courses as well, although I don't know in what kind of regard colleges hold those. I also plan on challenging the APUSH test at the end of this year, but of course I've no idea how that will go.

SAT:2190 overall/1510 CR+M.
800 CR, 710 M, 680 W. Considering a retake since I could improve so much on M and W.

SAT IIs: 800 Math I, 760 Lit

EC: 4 years football + swimming, 3 years track. Didn't earn any special awards for them. 50ish hours community service. Went on a trip w/ our multicultural club to Ireland/England/Wales last year. Chorus for 2 years + anything I do/apply to next year. Fairly weak here, I know.

This is my first time using this forum and listing my stats so if I've made any obvious screwups or omissions, just please try to be kind :). Thanks!

I think you will get in both. Depending how hard your HS is, your GPAs a bit on the low side for Geneseo, but your SAT will make up for it. good ECs as well.

Also, if you are just looking at these schools b/c of money and you’d really rather look elsewhere, you would be a good candidate for merit aid + fin aid at the “colleges that change lives” or other LACs of similar competitivity. However, if you are looking for a moderate/large public university and you would be happy there, those are probably good choices.

Easily in at both.

Much appreciated guys!
