My SAT scores are lower than their average but i got a 29 on my ACT. i applied ED but am really starting to doubt myself. Should i be worried? I only applied to the Suny Bing hamton and the university of New Haven. DO i need to apply somewhere else?

When will i here back about the decision from geneseo???

Yes you do. You need two schools you’re 100% sure you can get into, like, and can afford. U New Heaven doesn’t meet need, in fact its graduates have one of the highest loan burden in the country, so if you were denied at both Geneseo and Bing, you might end up with one only college acceptance… that turns out to be wholly unaffordable. So you need to find other schools ASAP.
SUNY Bing is one of the most selective SUNY’s with Geneseo and Stony Brook so it’s not a slam dunk either. Apply to a couple more SUNYs (or CUNYs?) such as Oswego, Cortland, etc. if you like them.
If you like the idea of smaller, “honors-like” colleges, look at Elmira, Marist, Siena, Ursinus, Muhlenberg, Goucher, Ithaca, Hartwick, Allegheny, Wooster, Hiram, and, further away, Agnes Scott (women’s college but part of a consortium and in Atlanta) or Earlham or Truman State (similar to Geneseo, but in MO, and automatic scholarships to out of state students with specific stats). All these schools are within range for you and quite a few would probably offer good financial aid to a student with an ACT 29 and stats that might qualify her for Geneseo.

If the rest of your record is like your ACT score I doubt you won’t get in to Geneseo. But Myos brings up a good point about affordability. We don’t know if you are a NY resident or applying OOS, how much your family can afford, etc. I’m not sure those private schools will come up with enough aid to get the cost down to SUNY prices but probably will do better than New Haven.
