<p>could someone please give a review of how good premed is at new paltz. i know geneseo is the better school but it is so far from nyc. I also hear that premed is very difficult at geneseo. i need good grades for med school. do have a better chance of getting in to med school with 3.7 gpa at new paltz or at geneseo, my doctor say it is the same education.</p>
<p>I am partial to New Paltz and I have heard very good things about their biology major. There is no question that NP has the better location and that Geneseo has a better academic reputation, so it’s a matter of weighing out where your priorities lie. Both are smaller state schools that, depending on where you are applying to med school, may or may not be as familiar to those schools. That being the case, go to the school that you feel is the best fit for you. Have you visited both schools and met with professors in the depts?</p>
