Suny plattsburgh, oswego and buffalo help!

Hello, as Ive said in previous posts I am a freshmen in community college in New York, looking to transfer to a school for communications, basically for the production aspects including audio, media, and music. I am looking at tons of schools, SUNY and not, but I have heard that Suny Plattsburgh is well known for communications. Also I have heard Oswego and Buffalo have good media production programs. ANY insight into any of these schools, including program quality and things you can do in the surrounding environment (nightlife social life) anything! would be awesome.

Plattsburgh is a small city and there is actually a fair amount to do, according to my D. She is into music and has performed with her band at local bars (where she is still too young to drink) and coffee houses. The school also hosts karaoke and open mic nights. There are lots of intramural teams and if you’re into winter sports, the Lake Placid complex is about 30 minutes away. In the spring, hiking, etc are very popular. It can be a party school, but my D is not a partier and she is never bored. The music department (my D’s area) is excellent. Also, for what it’s worth, there is a really nice planetarium on the campus.

thanks Joan52! I am probably going to visit sometime soon. I have heard the city is pretty nice, and not too big
