SUNY Purchase Theatre Conservatory?

<p>I auditioned for the Theatre Conservatory at Purchase a couple weeks ago, and they said that denial letters will be going out in February and if you're accepted, you'll get the acceptance letter in the first week of March. They only accept twenty people out of around eight hundred, so I'm prepared for rejection. But I haven't gotten a denial letter yet and it's the March. So right now I can't help but feel a little hopeful that I might have gotten in. But I don't want to get my hopes up if there's no reason to. So basically what I'm wondering is, has anyone who auditioned for Purchase heard back yet? Because they could be behind on sending the letters or something. Has anyone heard anything?
And also, if you've gone to the Theatre Conservatory, what did you think of it? Is it as good a program as it's made out to be?</p>

<p>Accio - My D auditioned on Feb. 20th along with 100 or so kids in the morning. Amongst all those kids, 5 kids names were on the call back list. You read many different things on what that could mean; either you’re in or you’re not. We were told, rejection letters would be going out within the next week or two. Students who were accepted would receive phone calls beginning March, deferred or waitlist students would hear mid March.</p>

<p>Also, I have seen only one other person comment on CC that they received their denial letter and that was yesterday or the day before. With that being said, who knows??</p>

<p>I can’t answer anything about the program however, there are a few CC members you will find on here that are in SUNY Purchae and can best describe the program. </p>

<p>I’ve been wondering this as well. I auditioned on Feb. 13th in LA, and they videotaped me doing a piece a second time. I have yet to receive a letter.</p>
