I read on CC that in previous years, being filmed during an audition for SUNY Purchase was equivalent to getting a callback. Was this the case for this year? Or could it be that they’ve ditched this process? Looking back, I don’t remember even seeing a video camera on the desk when I auditioned at LA Unifieds. Was anyone here videotaped or does anyone here know anyone that was videotaped this year?
Daughter not videotaped at NY Unifieds, not admitted. Nephew last year videotaped at LA Unifieds, admitted. D said she didn’t see any video equipment though.
My D was videotaped at NY Unifieds. Asked to step out of the room for a sec while they (I guess) set up the equipment. Also quite a lengthy conversation, etc. It was, quite unexpectedly, one of the auditions she felt best about – and she really liked the auditors, advice they gave her and feeling overall. But of course – who knows?
@4gsmom - just realizing - when you say not admitted - did you hear already? I thought generally that all of Purchase’s notifications went out mid-March. And – does your nephew now attend, or did he choose to go elsewhere?
Yes - she received a letter the week after Unifieds. She knew it was a poor fit but she auditioned anyway. Not all that disappointed (no rejection feels good but this didn’t sting all that much.) My nephew chose elsewhere.

My S classmate was filmed at LA unifieds
My D was filmed at Chicago Unifieds. Same drill as @rampions. The auditors had her repeat her monologues and song and they had a lengthy interview. She had 1 classmate also video taped and 2 not. I understood from CC in previous years the videotape is the c/b but who ever really knows? No word yet but I also assumed mid-March.
