Hi everyone :) Last semester I finished a liberal arts associates at Suffolk Community, I started there because I didn't know what I wanted to do, I only just decided to major in accounting at the beginning of this year. Anyway, the decision sort of made itself for me to go to Stony Brook since I could commute there and not have to spend the extra $10,000 a year for room & board...

SBU seemed like a no-brainer. But now that I'm looking through everything (and I feel really stupid for not seeing this before), I've realized this is merely an accounting concentration and not an actual accounting major...! So now I'm worried!

Is the accounting concentration at SBU good enough? Or should I look into other SUNY schools? I've been reading now that Binghamton has a great business program...

Also, since I would have to live on campus at one of these other schools, would I therefore qualify for more financial aid? I'd prefer not to have to take out a huge loan but if it's for the best of my education, that's what I'll do.
