<p>Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I was looking at the CollegeBoard calendar, and I came across this:</p>

12/01 SUNY Stony Brook: Priority application deadline</p>

<p>I want to apply to Stony as a Fall 2011 freshman, but the only application deadline I could find for it is this. What exactly is a "priority" application? I couldn't find a deadline for normal applicants.</p>

<p>Things might be changing for 2011, so don’t get too dependent on “priority” dates right now. We’ll probably know more later this week.</p>
