I know that the SUNY kids all got phone calls, but I’m wondering if anyone has received a waitlist notification. I presumed that there would be a waitlist, since there’s no guarantee that the kids that were accepted will necessarily take the offer. And has anyone heard from Fordham? Waitlist, acceptance, or otherwise?

In previous years, any waitlist notifications were sent by snail mail by Purchase. Perhaps I’m wrong to assume you mean SUNY Purchase?
My D was placed on the priority WL at Purchase. She found out via email this morning.
Last year my D was alerted to her Purchase WL status via email.
Question for you all that have kids that auditioned or on the waitlist because you may know a lot about the school. My s chose Suny but I know nothing about the school but hear if you get in that’s kinda a Big deal. Well he received a scholarship from UA which is our hometown so no out of state fees for $73,930.00 but the only thing it’s not a art school and my s feel that he will not get what he needs there, but Suny isn’t offering anything really.
Do we make him take this scholarship or Bite the bullet and take out loans? What would you do?
Do you mean NYU? SUNY’s tutition is in the $20K range for OOS (as I understand it- no direct knowledge) NYU’s full tuition would be closer to the number you posted.
He was accepted to Suny not NYU. UA is the University of Alabama where we are from that’s offering him that amount because of National Merit Scholarship but he will not get hardly anything at Suny by them being a state school to my understanding.

Purchase is around 34k (that includes fees, housing and a meal plan)
gege01: No one else can know what is best for your son or your families finances. You need to weigh his goals against what each school provides, degree-wise and financially. Good luck…it’s not an easy decision!!
