My son received a small Supe Store book scholarship ($150 a semester). Anyone know how this works? Do they just take the $150 off his bill when he orders books, do they credit his account, send him a check???

Congratulations! That is so great that they do that. Makes me feel even better about buying all my books from them. Always happy to support a business that gives back to its community.

how did he get the book scholarship?

that’s great!

what is supe store…and where can dd get a printer ( does she even need one?) – is there a Frys or best buy nearby?

The Supestore is UA’s book/supply store.

Your D might want a printer, but she can always get one shipped to her. There is a Best Buy on McFarland . Office Depot, Wal-Mart, and Sam’s Club are on McFarland. Kroger does not currently have a Fry’s or any of its other chains in the Birmingham or Tuscaloosa areas and hasn’t since the 1970’s according to Wikipedia.

^^^mom of four, it’s tax-free weekend here in Tuscaloosa. We were in Best Buy yesterday and they have a sign at the front of the store listing the student-related purchases that qualify as tax-free. I didn’t study it, but I think a printer will qualify. If you decide to order one online, Amazon will ship it free (that’s what we did with a wireless Canon printer/scanner/copier that cost us about $80, prints on two sides, and works beautifully).
