Well…I just walked away from the half time show for the first time I can remember.

My husband is a former theater techie specializing in sound and lights. He says the sound guys needed work. He could not even hear the singer for most of the beginning.

I think it gave me vertigo
I know The Weeknd and like a few of his songs, but I am not really a huge fan. I do like how they are using the entire field vs a stage for the show though.

I like The Weekend . But, I found the halftime show pretty underwhelming.

I thought he did well considering the restrictions. I known only two of his songs, but he can sing.

True. He can sing! And I recognized many of the songs (all but one) but had no idea he sang all of them!
But…I kept thinking there must be another singer performing after him. Had no idea he was it!

The major problem is the mic sound was terrible - sounded like it was coming from the stadium itself and not directly amplified for TV. If I could have heard him clearly I think I would have liked it much better. His songs themselves are pretty catchy.

Yes…my husband says the sound crew did not do a good job with this one…at all.

I liked it. I thought it was far better than some of the others I’ve seen. The white masks were a bit creepy though. The volume needed to be louder.

Yes, kind of meh all around. The game not competitive, halftime show just okay, commercials in general not great (except for a few).

I guess my opinion is the Super Bowl show has to capture multiple generations, and this one didn’t. Some of my younger friends really really liked it.
But I compare it to folks like McCartney, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga…who cross many generations of fans…and that’s what this half time show needs.
