@kelsmom, is that a cause that The Weeknd is known to advocate against - the plastic surgery angle? I appreciate knowing that now - but I don’t think it was obvious in anyway to the general audience. Some type of more obvious nod to that being the point would have been helpful.
The Super Bowl act ALWAYS is a cause of discussion the day after. There is always conflicting opinions! I don’t think though that last night’s performance will be among the ones in a few years mentioned or remembered.

Anyway, was it at the level of Prince’s halftime show? Or U2’s? No, but few will be. Did it suck like Maroon 5’s? Also no. Personally I thought The Weeknd’s performance was perfect for the year we have lived through.

Anyway the Performer is bigger then I thought. Got something just now from Vivid seats for tickets in Chicago Jan 22 and 23rd 2022… It’s the United Center so around 22,000 each night if it sells out

Although I enjoyed Prince’s SB performance, it fell short for me … but probably only because I saw him from the front of an intimate venue in the early years of his rise. He was so incredible. Prince in a stadium show just felt weird to me.
The SB performance that blew me away was Bruno Mars.

Would have loved to hear more songs from Trilogy. “The Birds Pt. 2” would have been amazing with a drumline and the right choreography. I definitely thought Drake was going to be a special guest too since he discovered The Weeknd. Missed opportunity.
