WOW SEAHAWKS LOST... If they won i would have got 10 points extra credit for each of my class.

Yeah this is a little late...I agree that the officiating could have been better, but that crowd was nuts! 90 percent Steelers fans seriously. Even then, the refs called a bunch on Pittsburgh as well so I don't think it was THAT bad really. Even if Seattle had gotten that touchdown they would have still lost.

They did a good job nonetheless, and they deserve great props for making it so far. I can definitely see them as a top contender next year.

Yeah, but the issue wasn't just the touchdown getting called back. It was the touchdown getting called back, the fumble that the refs were so quick to call against Seattle (even though it was obvious it wasn't a fumble), the numerous undeserved tiny penalties... Heck, even the Steelers "big ben" admitted that he didn't get in on that touchdown

If Ben didn't get in on that one, all he would have had to do is sneak it in from the 1 millimeter line. It's so irrelevant whether he got in or not because it was only 3rd down.

No it isn't because if they hadn't made a touchdown and instead kicked it, it would have been 17-10, and if the first seattle touchdown would ahve counted (which it totally should have!) it would have been 17 all.

They wouldn't have kicked a field goal from the 1 inch line. A field goal from that close is actually kind of difficult, especially if the ball is on a hashmark as it would have been(since Ben ran the option towards the left side line).

And besides Cowher would have gone for it, since if they didn't make it they would have backed Seattle up at its own doorstep.

Yeah, I think we all pretty much agree the Seahawks got screwed...but c'est la vie (haha, did I write that right? I'm not too great at latin). I'd rather lose the Superbowl, than win when I didn't deserve to.

yeah, it's just too bad that the game was ruined with bad calls. it could've been so much more interesting.

the world will remember superbowl XL as a sham.

unfortunately pittsburgh will have to live with their tainted Lombardi when it could have been legit if only the refs weren't trying oh so hard to be Superbowl MVP.

I am very glad to see that people are behaving maturely on the Superbowl topic, very much unlike the mudslinging and trolling i see on other superbowl forums.

You wrote it right, but C'est la vie is French.......lol
Yeah the seahawks did pretty much get screwed

Bah, you Seattle fans! Accept your loss, and move on. It's not that big of a deal...except for the WINNING TEAM!!!! Muahahahahah....Steelers!!

Cough Ok, in all seriousness, I wanted a good game for sure...and I think most of us can agree that it was an interesting game with lots of twists and unexpected turns. Again, I must emphasize, the crowd is a huge part of football games, no matter what people think. Having the crowd root for you, or having the 'home field advantage' is a huge boost to athletes' morale. What we can agree is that players truly shone on both sides, and that it was a good game despite a few bad calls on Seattle. I'll admit there were a few more, but Pittsburgh got its fair share as well. Honestly, it's all over...no point dwelling on "damn the seahawks got screwed" or "those steelers are cheaters". It's simply not true.

Work hard and come back stronger next year. Oh, and maybe try to get more fans of your team into the stadium. I counted...5 Seattle fans in all. J/k.

Haha... seriously. But what did you expect? The seahawks are just a bunch of birds anyway. Birds vs. steel.

haha, wow...it's french!?! guess I feel a little stupid now, haha!

i don't know why all the refs hate seattle, but the sonics (basketball) also got screwed a couple days ago. there was very obvious double dribbling that wasn't called and the guy was able to score at the end of the game to tie it up. the sonics ended up losing that one too. so far seattle teams are 0-2 against the refs. but really, we should probably stop complaining. it's been at least a couple weeks and complaining won't change anything now.

I'm disgusted that NFL keeps on holding Lingerie Bowls.

woo go detroit

Lingerie Bowls? I find that worse than any of the refs' calls

"Oh, and maybe try to get more fans of your team into the stadium. I counted...5 Seattle fans in all. J/k."

Maybe if it hadn't been held on the east coast... :) My poor little Seahawks, and they worked so hard, too. It was a tragic day here in Seattle. lol

the seahawks were outnumbered 9 to 1, it was essentially a home game for the steelers.
no surprises.
