super confused; general common app questions

i didn't think i would feel so overwhelmed when it came to applying to colleges, but i am. i don't understand the common app website at all and no one in my family can help me. these are probably really dumb questions...i apologize.

can i add something into the writing supplement boxes and go back and edit it later, or do i have to wait until it's my final "draft"? can i start an app, fill in some info, leave some blank, and come back later?

so you just fill out everything for each school, including the supplements, and then send it? is there a submit button or something at the end? do i wait until i have all my fee waivers and score reports and recommendations in order?

can you send your apps way ahead of the due date as long as you have everything ready and mark regular (or early decision/action) decision? or do i just wait?

i absolutely cannot afford to pay a single application fee (or score report fee, for that matter :/ ). i have gotten two ACT waivers before. if i CAN send my apps now, is there some part where you enter payment info? what do you do if you can't afford to pay? is there a box you check somewhere that says you're eligible for a fee waiver? how do you get one from each school?

the common app is just one application (+ supplements for each) sent electronically to different schools, right? is the common app fee for all of those schools combined, or is there a separate common app fee for every single school you apply to?

i know it's a lot of basic questions, but i was hoping someone here could send some wisdom my way.

Yes

Yes, not sure bout the second part to your question though

Yes

I’m not really sure…

Separate common app fees for each school - some may be 50, some may be 75
