<p>Kay, I'm currently finishing up my apps for different schools, and I was wondering if I was on the right track.</p>

<p>UMich (ED)
Rice (EA)
NYU (Regular)
Calvin (Regular)</p>
<p>What worries me is that I heard that you cannot apply ED for a college if you're applying EA for another. But ED is binding but EA is not, so am I on the right track? Please help, I'm totally confused!! Oh yeah, and I got my teacher recommendations for UMich, and its generically written, so can I send it as a teacher rec. for other schools? Or do I have to get it rewritten? Thankss!</p>
<p>Unless U Mich or Rice specifically state you can’t apply to any other school early, you are fine applying to both. You MAY NOT just use a recommendation written for a school and send them to others. Many HS won’t allow the students to even handle the recs - they are sent directly from the guidance dept. You must ask your teacher for another one or ask specifically if you can send it to those schools.</p>
<p>You have to check with those colleges to see whether their early decision is bounding or not. I would suggest you to call both Umith and Rice, one simply call will solve all your confusions! Everytime I have a quesiton, I do a quick search on the web, and if no answers are found, I just pick up the phone and call</p>
