SUPER happy! accepted LSP CAS! 2015 :)

I ammmmm sooooo happpyyy I saw the email subject, the classic "Your NYU Admissions Decision", I instantly jumped up and told my host father here in France. My heart was beating a thousand mph, I managed to calm down and I went back to the computer and read the email.

YES YES YES YES!!

Good luck to those still waiting!

Hispanic, born in Venezuela
Live in Texas, spent senior year living in France under the Rotary Youth Exchange program. (which you have to apply to)
I wrote a killer essay that talked about the international concerns regarding Venezuela and its extremist president.

Amazing recommendations from counselor and history teacher.
Killer supplement answers, the subject of one of them actually made worldwide headlines after I turned in my application.

Same. I live in Los Angeles, can I have them send me a sweater or something?

XD XD XD

There is a bunch of really neat stuff on their online store. You’re lucky because you live in the US. For me shipping apparently costs 119 dollars ! I’ll have to have them shipped to my American address and then have my parents send the items to France.

Ah that’s insane. Are you going to the New York campus?

Yes! I don’t think I could do two years of study abroad in a row. I also personally think that being on campus for freshman year is important since you build bonds and you set foundations. I thought it was a wonderful opportunity to be offered international campus sites, though. However, I intend to apply to study abroad my junior year in Florence.

What about you?

Hey, congrats! I also got LSPed. And I have a question.

Did you or anyone else who got LSPed submit the financial aid form? If so, did NYU contact you with a financial aid estimate like they said they would in the acceptance email they sent out? Any info regarding this would be awesome.

I submitted a Financial Aid Application. From what I understand in the email, the financial estimate will be sent soon. They always come later, even for people who were not placed in LSP. It will probably be sent around the 15th. Maybe earlier but I’m not sure. We’ll get it soon, though!

Fhaselroth -

Yes! Perhaps we shall meet in the coming fall. So excited.

Elocin777 -

My email that was sent tells me that we should get our estimate pretty soon. Seeing how LSPs get their decision early, it probably takes them a while to analyze that data.

so there is hope to still get LSPd??

I wouldn’t rule it out because as far as I know there weren’t many emails sent out this week before today. I was pretty shocked today when I checked my email since I thought LSP acceptances were over. So, I suppose there is always hope. :)
