Kalamazoo College in MI seems to keep on popping up as a very perfect school: great sciences (my opted major), small classes.
Can someone assure me that it IS good, as a safety?
I guess I'm so used to the HYPB that I am quickly shoving off this school.
Pros and cons?

Stats: GPA 3.6 ACT 32

K College is one of the “colleges that change lives” (look it up if you’re not familiar). Friendly, open, small classes, profs that care about their students and take time for them, fine academics, good community, most go on foreign study, individualized projects, high acceptance into grad schools. I hope my own children consider K College. The cons might be that not everyone loves the city of Kalamazoo, but there is a lot to do with Western Michigan University close by and Chicago 3 hours away by train. For all that LACs do, K is tops - a fine place to take the time to think and grow and not just trudge toward a degree.

Kalamazoo would be an awesome place to go! Harvard’s cheating scandal was in a class of 250!(the cheating aside) who wants to go to a school with 250 people in a class, probably taught by a TA. just for the name Harvard? people need to stop obsessing over all the ivies, the emperor has no clothes! Kalamazoo and schools like that should be at the top of your list!

K College has a wonderful reputation throughout Michigan and is highly-regarded. My DD will not consider Kalamazoo College since we live in Kzoo and she wants to get away from home! However, if you do have questions about Kalamazoo (the town) I would be happy to answer them for you, please PM me. My niece graduated from K College a few years ago and I may be able to have her answer some questions, too.
