This is actually for some classmates and a friend of mine...

Do you think someone who STILL hasnt turned in their app, and has a 3.7/1300 has any sort of chance of getting in (if thre is nothing spectacular about them?)

It really is late, but you never know. 3.7 students with 1300 on their SATs are quite common on Michigan's campus.

I have a friend of mine who STILL hasn't sent in his app. He has like a 3.5, and a 25 on the ACT. I can't imagine he has great chances.

No, netshark, your friend doesn't have a very good chance at all. I hope he has a back up. Michigan is a real reach for him.

i still haven't applied. do i still have a chance with a 1540 and 4.0 uw gpa?

Charmedone, you are as good as in. Michigan will never reject a student with a 1500+ on the SAT and a 3.8+ unweighed GPA combined.

Alexandre-is there a difference between completed and when they sent the email saying they have begun to review the app?

Because on 12/15, 6 days after I submitted my app, they sent me and email saying they have begun to process it. I called the admissions office a week ago to make sure they received everything and they said that they got everything the 1st of January.

yes, there is a difference.....

When you get an email, that means the office has received your online application and they have opened a file for you. That email doesnt mean that they have got everything for making a decision.

In your case, Jan 1 is the date when they have got everything in order to make a decision....

I hope this helps....
