[SUPER URGENT] CARS Quick Statement Vs. E-Bill

Hi, guys. I have a burning questions since I am suppose to paid by bills by today.
But according to the CARS Quick Statement, it says:

CARS Quick Statement As of: Jun 18, 2010
Minimum Amount Due Now: $0.00
Minimum Due + Full Reg Fee: $0.00
Account Balance: $0.00

But, on the Ebill, it says that I own 6,000+ dollar and I have to pay it by today? WHAAT? Please do explain. Do the date of the CARS Quick Statement matters? I am FREAKIN' OUT
The billing and finical aid sites is soo confusing. I do receive a certain amount of finical aid but how do I know that if paid through?? PLEASe HELP

Always refer to Quick statement. E-bill is updated once a month and financial aid got sent out after the e-bill. The Quick statement is the most up to date. To check what has paid through, go to Financial Aid –> award summary on bearfacts.

Thanks for the quick reply. But i have two question. The Quick statement is dated as of Jun 18, 2010? JUN 18??? DOES THAT MATTER? AT ALL?

Also, I just check my financial aid and found out that I still didn’t get my Cal Grant A Fee Award & Federal Perkins Loan yet. I did got my Federal Subsidized Direct Loan though. Did I miss something or should I just wait for a while for the financial office to process?? THANKS A LOT

The date has been messed up but it’s accurate I think.

Cal Grants and non-Berkeley aid take a bit longer, sometimes you won’t get it until end of September

Don’t worry about the date on the quick statement. My son’s has the same date. As for the Perkins Loan, I called about that last week and was told that takes a while to fund. Did you do the loan entrance counseling for the Perkins Loan? I’m not sure about the Cal Grant. My son’s Cal Grant has funded. You might want to call financial aid about that.

Omg, You guys are absolutely FANTASTIC. phewww. I can finally breath for a while. Thanks Berkeley, what a great way to spike up a boring Sunday afternoon. My entire family had been freaking out for the past fifteen minutes. Thanks you SO SO SO much for the quick, clear response. You have no idea how assuring you guys’ replies are. REALLY TRULY, THANKS A LOT.

Oh no, you poor thing. Relax! Everything is fine. I am assuming you will be leaving for Berkeley soon (we leave on Friday), so enjoy the last weekend with your family. Go give your mom a hug! :-)

One of the reasons for the advice to take a light load, like 13 or 14 units, the first semester is because so much will be new and distracting and confusing. By the end of the semester, everyone will be up to speed.
