I can only laugh at you

How about we all calm down?

I didn't really care that much, but I don't really like the Patriots (a few of them seem too arrogant). I was a little glad the Giants won.

i live in new york and like everyone is a patriots fan. not even kidding

This was the first actual superbowl I've watched. My parents were SO happy... I really don't know/care about football. But, it seems that most people I know were happy with the result.

Super Tuesday > Super Bowl

I think both have equal merit in their own ways, cosine45. This is not a thread for people to denounce football. Anyway, I barely watch any football, but I do enjoy it when I do. So I watched the fourth quarter and it was SO exciting I got really into it and was hella proud of my home team. Anyway, the best part was Plaxico Burress crying during his interview. hehehe. But I think Eli Manning really redeemed himself as a great quarterback against Brady's looming reputation. And both Manning brothers in two years is so adorable, even if it would've been cool to see the Pats go down in history. Cool stuff, though.

Hey, it's just an opinion. I'm not trying to "denounce" football in any way...I love football, but I like my politics more, lol.

that superbowl was epic

the lead went back and forth in the 4th quarter, and even up until the game's very end, the winner could have been anyone's guess

the giants really worked the patriots that game, they deserved the win. very good defense, pretty solid offensive protection of eli manning.

the commercials kinda sucked though

steeephhhh23, that fact can be attributed to a little something called "the bandwagon".

i hate fair-weather fans. i am a long-suffering Indianapolis Colts fan (or i was until last year), which is why i rooted for Peyton's little bro this Superbowl.

haha cosine, I agree. My dad was asking me, "What is tomorrow?" on Saturday. I said, "Super Tuesday."

I'm a fair-weather fan of the Lions, but they never have much fair weather anyway.

Hey milkmagn, you are a total loser. Grow some balls, kid

^ He's just trolling everybody. Don't pay attention to him.

I don't know why so many people thought this game was good.

It was the most boring superbowl of the past 6 or 7 years.

The first three quarters of the game went nowhere. The only exciting part was like the last three minutes. It sucked. And nobody watching the game outside of New England really liked either of the teams, they just disliked the patriots.

This game was zero action, the pats played like crap (i don't even like them and i know they did), and to top it off, the half time show sucked.

Those who thought this was one of the best ever, why in the world do u think that?

Offense isn't the only exciting part about football. This game was super close, had amazing defense. The smothering Giants defense was incredible to watch. Those final drive only capped off the night. All in all, many people are saying this was the greatest Super Bowl of all time. The sheer circumstances alone make it amazing. Having the game be so close and exciting cements its legend. Like I said, don't be fooled into thinking that offense is the only exciting part of the game. Any real fan of the game can appreciate some amazing defense and thats what we saw yesterday.

I think it's because it held everyone in suspense. You're right; up until the last three minutes, not much happened. I think it was better though that the number of points scored was at an all-time low because it made people believe that an immediate touchdown would win it for either team. Also, there was a lot on the line for both teams. The Patriots would match the 1972 Miami Dolphins (and beat their record with 19-0) with an undefeated season, and Brady and Belichick would go down in history for their Superbowl wins. For the Giants, it was exactly the opposite. The Giants didn't have a very good start to their season, and their win would become one of the biggest upsets in Superbowl history. Most people believed that the Patriots would definitely win.

Actually, the Patriots were pretty arrogant, and the fact that they were caught cheating really antagonized them. For most people, if you weren't a Patriots fan, you were a Giants fan this game. Anyway, it was epic! I loved how Brady got sacked 5 times (and with 2 back to back). The defense was absolutely incredible. Manning's stoutness in the last few minutes was also a rare moment. I think, for me at least, what made this game exciting was also Manning's unpredictability. I thought that after his pass to Tyree, he would screw everything up with an interception or a fumble, but he didn't. He kept me on the edge of my seat.

Anyway, the closeness of the game made it awesome. As for the half-time show, I didn't enjoy that much, but I thought it was decent. Remember, the half-time show is usually targeted towards the people who can afford Superbowl tickets, who are older adults. Honestly, I didn't think it was that bad. American Girl was a good song.

lol at people saying "OMG BRADY SHOWED AMAZING MENTAL STRENGTH"...no one, not even Tom Not so Terrific, cares. The Patriots lost, and the only QB with the heart and mind of a champion yesterday was Eli Manning.

Also anyone who says this was a boring game clearly knows nothing about football and therefore has an invalid opinion.

let's not get tamper tantrums by what random people on the internet say...

One thing if you don't like sports, but why come in here and say irrelevant crap? Wow, you don't like sports. Congrats.

Born and bred New-Englander here, and I think that was a great game. I'm WICKED sad at how it ended, but the Giants did really deserve that win. They're defense was really impressive, and oh my god that catch by Tyree, jesus. That was just exciting to watch, even though it meant bad things for my team.

I just think no matter what happened it really was a historical game, what with the Pats having been undefeated and all. Kinda makes us New-Englanders look a little lame for the time being though, we were all just counting on them winning, and banking on the Celtics and then Sox win to just boast.
