Superfan Shirts

hey guys just wondering if you have any ideas of when we will get our superfan shirts. I was wondering if it will be at our orientation dates or the first week of school when the whole class is there. thanks!

We get them during orientation

ah very nice thank you!

^ The orientation in June?

YAAAAAAY. so stoked for these.

Whichever orientation you choose to attend, that’s where you’ll get your shirt. There’s actually a facebook group dedicated to the class of 2014 called “Boston College class of 2014” and there is a discussion about what our slogan on the back of our shirt should read. I don’t think we get to choose tho…

Dear college3bc : There are typically seven orientation sessions with the seventh session reserved for long distance traveling students who cannot make the double-trip to the Boston area for both orientation and campus move-in.

You will receive your SuperFan T-Shirt and have your class saying debuted at your orientation session. There, you will also learn the school song, you will learn how to sing it (and you will sing it), how to cheer at the football games, and a million other Boston College cultural points.

For those interested, the SuperFan Mottos for the last decade are shared below. Most students still believe that the Class of 2007 slogan was the coolest although the Class of 2011 slogan really captures the essence of the campus.

Class of 2002: Whatever it Takes!
Class of 2003: Go Eagles!
Class of 2004: Eagles on the Warpath
Class of 2005: Always Believe in BC
Class of 2006: Fly Like an Eagle
Class of 2007: Take it to the Heights
Class of 2008: Soaring to Glory
Class of 2009: Talons of Fury…Get Ready.
Class of 2010: Eagles Take Action.
Class of 2011: For Here All Are One.
Class of 2012: On the Hunt for Excellence
Class of 2013: Honoring the Legacy, Pursuing Greatness

Now, the slogan most often twisted on other T-Shirts comes from the Class of 2010. There is a T-Shirt with the “BC” font changed to read “Better Chicks” and the slogan changed to “Eagles Get Action”. We share this not to upset anyone, but because the class slogans really are part of the campus environment.

I already know the song :P

scottj: thanks so much for the info. i really appreciate it and now cannot wait for my orientation session and shirt! so pumped to be at BC in the fall!!!

Correct me if this is just some sort of urban legend, but wasn’t there recently a problem with a member of the class of 2011 changing his shirt to read “On the Hunt for something-crude-of-which-I’m-not-going-to-repeat-here.”? Ah, young creativity. :)

As a parent of a current year freshman, I have to say that the orientation event where the students get their Superfan shirts is one I’ll never forget!

I didn’t want to give away the fact that you get the shirts at Orientation, because the way in which you get them is so freakin’ exciting.

But yes, please don’t buy one ahead of time, like my freshmen roommate did.

Can you tell me if we’ll be playing quiddich during orientation this year?
