Superscore 2290 - retake?

CR Math Writing Essay Total Date Grade
750 740 740 10 2230 01/2009 11
690 730 800 11 2220 05/2009 11

If I take it again for the third time in.. 12 hours I'm confident that I can get 750+ in all sections.

I'm tempted to take it again because 1) my second time was worse, with CR below 700, and 2) I know I can do much better now. But I've also heard that taking the test three times may hurt my chances, since it is viewed negatively.

Yes I'm neurotic and insecure. I need to make the decision in a few hours so I'd appreciate it if you could please skip such a criticism and offer me a practical view.

Thanks! :) I apologize if this thread offended someone... Good luck on the Oct test everyone!

neuroticism is never a good thing to portray to colleges. they want strong individuals who have high esteem and high potential, not insecurity and fear of not being perfect. not trying to demean you in any way, just generalizing.

No, absolutely no.

Can you beat 750 740 800? You say you can get 750+, I don’t see much of an improvement. Your answer is no.

Unless you’re aiming for 800 in math and keeping CR at 750+, then don’t retake. sending 3 scores in or similiar composite scores isn’t that great, albeit superscore.

I agree with Mde. If you improved substantially each time, I’d say yes. But I have a feeling you’ll get a 2210-2240 and maybe will pull your super to 2320 at most. It’s not worth retaking unless you KNOW you can pull up 50+ points.
