Hey everyone. I took the SAT twice so far. The first time I did extremely awful. The second time, I improved in all sections but one (10 points worse). I'm taking the SAT for the third and last time in October, and from practice I expect to improve in all areas. Say I decide to super score, using the Math and Reading Sections from my third SAT, and the Writing Section from the second SAT. I'm not too sure about the process of sending standardized tests to colleges yet, but when I superscore this way will colleges see my first, terrible SAT? I hope this was clear. Thanks for your time.

If a college superscores, they’ll only take into consideration the highest of your test scores for those sections.

Yea that’s what they say, but in reality when they see a low SAT score they’ll think this student is inconsistent or something (which I’m not, I just took the first one with little preparation). So I’m still wondering if they’re capable of seeing that first SAT test score.

If a college says (as they all do) that they will consider only the highest scores to determine admission, you can either believe them or not and apparently many just cannot bring themselves to believe the colleges (kind of makes you wonder that if people believe the college is just a scumbag liar, then why are they applying to it at all).

As to actually seeing a score, if the college requires you to submit all scores then you must do so; otherwise you can exercise score choice with College Board when sending scores and choose not to send any one or more tests. Be aware that if you do so the college may still learn of your withheld scores if you attend one of the many high schools that put all your scores on your official high school transcript that is sent to colleges.

I see so it depends on each college, not on the process of sending from collegeboard?
