I've taken two SATs thus far:

March:

730 CR
680 M
700 W (8 E)

1410/2110

May:

710 CR
760 M
800 W (11 E)

1470/2270

Superscore: 1490/2290

Would colleges see it as a negative if I took a third time in October and got for instance a 750/750/750, which would be lower than my highest single score but increase my superscore to a 1510/2310? Am I being manic? 2300 looks so much nicer than 2290 and it's driving me nuts! Do colleges "care" how many times you take it or does a computer just find your best scores and create a superscore?

That’s crazy! We have identical superscores and I am wondering the exact same thing, my scores:
March:
CR 730
M 670
W 800
2200

May:
CR 720
M 760
W 770
2250

so superscore is also 1490/2290.
I don’t think I’ll retake, just because it would be so easy to miss silly mistakes again and get lower scores due to the curve at the top (i was -1 W and -1,o1 M in May…). But i feel like I could improve my CR…

Wow, pretty neat. I think I decided that I will take SAT II’s in June and October. If I am happy with those by November I may take the SAT I again but I guess we’ll see. Everyone is telling me that the difference between 2290 and 2300 is negligible but I want it so bad. Good luck in your decision.
