SuperScore ScoreChoice and Taking the SAT Multiple Times

ScoreChoice

Recently I read on College Board that under ScoreChoice you can pick and choose which scores you wish to send to the college and they will only receive those scores. Under score choice, the college will never know how many times you took the SAT.

SuperScore
For SuperScore, my current understanding is that either collegeboard sends a superscore of your SAT scores (after indicating that it is a superscore) OR the college you are applying to requires you send all your scores and it then takes the superscore of by it self.

Taking the SAT more than Three Times
I had heard in the past that after a certain point, three or four times? your scores are averaged out when sent to colleges?

The only reason I'm asking this is because I plan on applying to SOME highly selective colleges and I NEED to take it again in June because I messed up in Critical Reading big time. However, I'm 99% sure I have an 800 in math and a 750+ in Writing this time, much better than my last SAT score. If SuperScore applies, I can keep this score and just improve CR next time.

Basically, I want to know the exact repercussions of taking the SAT for a third time.

When you send your scores, the college may superscore the sections across different test dates if that benefits you.

No.

Yes, but some schools do not want their applicants to use this option.

"Students are encouraged to follow the score-reporting requirements of each college to which they apply, but their scores are not released for admission purposes without their specific consent. Colleges and universities will only receive the scores that students send them. "

I think you should read your own links, perhaps?

So does the college know that I am using “Score Choice” ?
I did indeed read the link and from that I understand that the college will only receive whatever tests I send and only those tests. From that I deduce that I can take the SAT as many times as I want without any problems whatsoever.

As silverturtle said, some colleges may not want applicants to use this option so how do the college’s know you are using score choice as opposed to just sending your SAT scores normally

Colleges do not know whether a student has used Score Choice.
