My SAT sections might be different on the two SATs I took. Is this problematic?
On my first SAT, I scored a 770 on both CR and writing. On math I made careless mistakes and thus got a 710. I think I got an 800 or high 700s on the math section of the June SAT (I took today), but I think my CR and writing scores might’ve gone down.
Does this matter? I’m applying to Ivies. I know that superscored, I’ll have like a 2340 potentially if I did get that 800 on math. But will colleges see that my CR and writing scores went down, even with superscore, if I send them both full test dates? Is this an issue? Will it affect my chances? Thank you so much!
i don’t think that slight fluctuation between SAT scores will make or break your application; either way, your scores are strong. no worries
Wait until your sores are back. Not reason to hypothesize without actual numbers. And a 710 math was perfectly respectable.
I think when colleges superscore they see both your tests so yes the will see your score went down for some sections. The SAT doesn’t superscore for you when they send in your results to colleges-- the colleges themselves superscore based on the results you sent them upon receiving your results. Remember not all schools superscore (including some ivys) so know that if you send two scores to all colleges. However even for colleges that don’t superscore, as long as your scores for the other sections didn’t drop dramatically it shouldn’t matter much (however if your composite isn’t similar and way lower from the 2nd test it may look bad). Test scores are only one piece of the entire college application process so as long as your overall scores that you send in are similar I wouldn’t stress to much on how superscoring factors in on your chances.

When you report to schools who superscore, unless you choose to report all scores, the computer automatically picks your best scores (or at least it was that way when we reported to schools that superscore).
In a nutshell, you’re golden!
