Superscore up but individual score lower?

<p>I took the SAT twice once last year oct once this year oct</p>

<p>before:</p>

<p>750 CR 740 M 800 W 2290 </p>

<p>now:</p>

<p>800 CR 730 M 740 W 2270 </p>

<p>im happy about the CR but God what happened with writing. I was focusing more on cr bc i didnt think my writing could atrophy this much and math is best i can do aha. My overall score went down but the thing is my Superscore went from a 2290 to a 2340 which is a bit of a difference. Should I send both in to prestigious schools that do score choice and risk them thinkin my 800 writing was a fluke or should I just settle for my 2290?</p>

<p>I face the same problem… I got 2130( 630,700,800) in the June SAT, and a 2110 ( 700,700,710) in the Oct one. A 90 point writing drop! Can’t believe it, all thanks to the essay. I guess it won’t matter much if you superscore, and even if you’re submitting all your scores, a 50 point drop isn’t too much, considering it’s only 2-3 questions out of 49. How much did you get in your essay?</p>

<p>My son went down in writing also (770 to 730), but up in math (780 to 800) and way up in CR (680 to 760). So overall is up too, but I think the writing must have been really hard on 10/6!</p>

<p>why can’t you just superscore? are you not using common app?</p>

<p>Hm thanks… I think I will. Sorry I’m not that familiar with all this stuff because I moved to a school in the midwest that mostly does ACTs ><</p>
