I have a superscore that is 40 points higher than my best score; on my application, do I give this composite in some shape or form?

I know that 40 points isnt much, but my math score went down a bit from an 800, so I was considering how this would work.

the collegeboard sends the scores- you dont write anything. so it depends on what the college does with the scores- the VAST majority of top schools superscore, and THEORETICALLY the adcoms only look at the top scores in each section only and arent even supposed to SEE the "worse" scores.

Ok good, I had that question since if I didnt qualify for some requirment for departmental placement in a college because my 760 was too low (for math) that would suck...but from what you're saying I guess the 800 is what would stand out more and I could use that if I get into that college that requires a high mSAT - I score for advanced placement into higher level math courses.

yea...from what i've heard (this may not be true) that the adcoms may not even see all the scores- someone doing clerical work or something sorts them so that the adcoms only see the highest- regardless of what actually happens, every college that i've visited has said that they ONLY CONSIDER the HIGHEST SCORES in each section for the SATI- some colleges dont superscore (im not sure of which particularly) but most do
