Superscoring

<p>Hi!
So I took the ACT twice and didn't do very well. Both were with writing, but I got a ten on the writing. The third time I took it was the free statewide test which didn't include writing and I did significantly better on it! But it was without writing.</p>

<p>If I send in one of the test with writing and then the much higher score without writing, will colleges that require the test with writing still take my higher score (the one without writing) and take the writing section from the other test?</p>

<p>I think it depends on the college. It is my understanding that most colleges do not superscore the ACT.</p>

<p>I guess superscoring is the wrong word. The writing portion doesn’t change the composite score. I guess I mean would it be acceptable to send in both, even if one-the way higher one-is without writing.</p>
