<p>Alright, so a supplement essay I have to write is, "Tell us about a time when you were in the minority". (maximum 250 words)</p>

<p>Now I know it does not apply only to ethnicity, but what other situations come to mind? I am a white, middle class Trombone player and I honestly can not think of a time when I was in the minority. I thought of writing a short essay on how SOMEDAY I will be in the minority(you know, projected population increases) however, I'm not sure how they would see that. So any suggestions?</p>

<p>Any time in class when you went with an opinion that the rest of the class did not agree on (most of them I mean) might work. Differing opinions/views to other people in your area perhaps?</p>

<p>Maybe you liked a piece of music that was trombone-centered/low brass-centered that the rest of the band didn’t like?</p>
