supplement length- please help!

Hey- does anyone know for the part of the supplement that asks about books and publications read, etc., how long the list should be. I'm not sure how many I should list because I have quite a few favorites...does anyone know how many books listed are appropriate or how much is too much?

I was kind of wondering the same thing. I mean I got go on a rant listing all the books I’ve read in the past year and movies I’ve enjoyed… but I feel like nobody would actually want to read all of that.

Also, for the Why Columbia essay, is that 1500 characters with or without spaces? BIG DIFFERENCE!

is there anyone who has applied (whether or not you got in, didn’t get in, or didn’t find out yet) who can provide some insight on this? I would really really appreciate it.

in my opinion, the question is pretty self-explanatory… for the books you’ve read for pleasure, list all the books you read for pleasure. for the required readings you’ve enjoyed most, list the required readings you’ve enjoyed most. however long or short they are depends on how many you’ve read. if you’re worried about the list being too long, do a print preview on the supplement (at the top of the page on the commonapp website) to make sure it doesn’t exceed the maximum space allotted for the lists

uh 3coolcats its including spaces lol…

i listed about 10 books that I read in the past year + 6 read in school
