supplement needs to be submitted by 11:59 tonight?

I'm done with everything - my application, teacher recs, and 2ndary school report have been SENT.

But I'm wondering; does the supplement have to be submitted today (31)? I kind of want to use these last moments to make any revisions and if that means I can submit the supplement on the 1st, I will.

So could I submit it tomorrow?

I’m pretty sure when they say its due Nov. 1, its due anytime before 12 on Nov 1st.

My admissions rep said that the supplement could be submitted until midnight November 2nd (so you shouldn’t click submit after 11:59 p.m. November 1st.)

However, I’m also wondering what effect time zones have on this, if any.

I think it’s 11:59 pm your time zone.

You can submit up til 11:59 PM Nov 1st (or 2nd, there appears to be some confusion over this because of some email sent a few days ago, but it’s more than likely going to be the 1st). There is a clock on the common app website that has their “official time.” Unless I am mistaken, their “official time” is more or less Easter Time Zone. Therefore, you have to submit your app by 11:59, EASTERN TIME. If you live in Wyoming, and submit it at 10:05 local time, your application will be time stamped as having been sent in at 12:05 Monday, November 2nd. Too late.

To be safe, send it in today, or before noon tomorrow. Seriously. It’s not worth the trouble by cutting it that close. A few hours is not going to make your application uber better. And if a few hours will make your application uber better, then you haven’t worked on your essays enough already and you really shouldn’t be reading this post right now!

Also, submit early because there will be thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, of students trying to submit their applications tomorrow. The common app site is not the best. It might go down. Who knows. Don’t leave your future up to chance.
