Supplement Question

So I applied in Engineering and when I submitted my application (jan 2) I sent an email to their admissions with a research abstract. However Cornell hasn't acknowledged receiving it.
I had called them about a week later (~jan 12) and they said it would take some time to process. But they still haven't sent any sort of confirmation. In addition, I also had a supplemental recommendation (from a research mentor) and I have no idea if that was received either.
The cornell applicant online page shows my status as just "received all materials" but is not specific.

How can I figure out if my supplements have been processed?

Thanks in advance.

You could try calling. I had to call my regional admissions officer to get any answers to questions I had.

I didn’t receive any confirmation for ED until 2 days before they told me I was in so don’t sweat it I guess.

They are only going to confirm that they received all REQUIRED application material. Anything “above” the requirements will go into your file, but they really don’t have the time to notify each applicant when “extra” items are sent to them.

well i was pretty lucky in this case as i was notified about everything that was processed , i emailed the offices at a regular basis… :-)

Thanks for the replies. I guess I’ll try calling them and/or emailing. @csdad I hope that if I contact them specifically asking about my application, they can tell me the status of those supplements. It would be awful if I got rejected and learned that none of my extra materials were ever processed.

Try calling.

Don’t expect too much. Cornell receives hundreds of emails every week or even less, given the amount of applicants for one.

Yeah I sent in stuff for ED, they never acknowledged it. But once I was deferred, I asked them if they received it and they said yes.

So just send an email or call them.
