Supplement Question

I worked on a research paper with 2 other professors about the US, India, and Chinese Economy. Its a legit paper and around ~22 pages. Its basically a complete analysis of these three economies post 1950's. If I understand correctly, I can add this as a supplement for my college application. I have also worked with these professors to complete other tasks. I don't have the best grades, and I was wondering if maybe this could make me more desirable.

Thanks

Colleges will not read a 22 pp paper. You can include an abstract or synopsis. Choose ONE of the profs and approach her/him to write you a rec letter. A paper will not preclude an otherwise middling GPA. In a much earlier post, you said you had a 3.1 GPA on a 7.0 scale. That will be severely limiting.

I think you misunderstand my gpa. I have a 3.1 on a scale which is
A: 93-100
B:85-92
C: 77-84
etc.

Are you recommending that I don’t add it…I would imagine they wouldn’t see it as a bad thing.

You could certainly provide a link or something in case they want to reference it, but to me it seems like more of a resume item rather than something to completely send to them (especially if it is not entirely your own). Many college admissions counselors are wary of reading more than 3 recommendations, so I think instead of sending them the whole paper about the chinese economy, list it on common app and a way for them to access it if they so do desire
