<p>my supplement is an essay of 600 words.. do i really need to cut off 100 words?
if i don't, would the admissions staff look down upon my failure to follow directions =(?</p>

<p>if i remember correctly, the directions were about* 500 words....as long as you are in that area, i think it's fine...as long as those extra 100 words are worth it too read (: (if its too long and not interesting and boring, then those extra 100 words would be painful to read for the admissions people</p>

<p>My supplement was 650 words and I was accepted ED. I don't think 100-150 word over the limit is a problem if it makes a point and is interesting.</p>
