Tell us about the academic areas that interest you most and your reasons for applying to Brown.

I just wrote my academic interest (singular) and separately, my reasons for applying.
The two do not correspond at all, as in why brown would be a good university for my academic interest. Is this okay?

para 1 ~ why I like cognitive neuroscience
para 2 ~ why Brown is good for cognitive neuroscience
para 3 ~ why I like Brown in general

...but people told me that I could basically do away with para 2. I didn't, but it's fine either way -- they know that they're a good university, lol. And 1600 characters is NOTHING!

i found someone with the same interest as me (cog. neuro)
but i think what you did was fine. it pretty much answers the question which is what they are looking for.
