<p>I just want to ask if it is viable to do a "why harvard" essay for the supplemental/ "optional" essay. I remember seeing or hearing somewhere that Harvard assumes that applicants know why they want to choose Harvard.</p>
<p>Is this viable?</p>
<p>And also, how optional is this essay?</p>
