I am working on the short answer supplement questions and it says there is a 125 word limit. How important is that factor? I went over but still stayed within the maximum number of characters allowed. It seems like I can't get all my thoughts out in 125 words

sslamp… Great question. As I have mentioned in other threads, focus more on content than on length. I have no objections to a student exceeding the 125 word limit, as long as it is within reason. As a counselor, I learn much more about you from a response that reflects your true perspective, as opposed to a perspective that is compromised by restrictions in length. As long as you aren’t exceeding the limit by an excessive margin (i.e. 400 words), you have nothing to worry about! I hope this helps.

Do you know what “Status” means on the U of R supplement? I assume it’s the term your applying for? It lists Fall and Spring.

Yes, it is the term (spring or fall) and status (meaning freshman or transfer) that you wish to enter the University of Rochester.
