Supplement - what to write??

<p>the NYU supplement asks:</p>

<p>What intrigues you? Tell us about one work of art, scientific achievement, piece of literature, method of communication, or place in the world (a film, book, performance, website, event, location, etc.), and explain its significance to you.</p>

<p>Would it be too mainstream and immature to write about the Harry Potter phenomenon and how it has captured the world's imagination? Or should I pick something else?</p>

<p>I need help - I have no idea what to write about!!!</p>

<p>If your writing is very good, it could showcase your writing style. If Harry Potter is a huge part of your life/hobbies, it could also be appropriate, but if you’re picking that topic out of the blue I would say pick something else.</p>

<p>Thanks :slight_smile: Yeah, I chose to go with it and focus on the calibre of writing as opposed to continuing the search for a novel topic and writing poorly.</p>
