Supplement ?

Does Cornell have a writing supplement ? Common App says it doesn't but the website says it does . My friends also say it does . What's the truth ?

[Admission Requirements | Admissions](http://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/first-year-applicants/admission-requirements)

I’m having the same issue. And that link ^^ doesn’t help because if there is a supplement, why isn’t it on the Common App? Where would I even submit it?

The supplement essay doesn’t show up on the Common App until you select what school(s) you want to apply too.

Just read and follow the instructions. 1,000 students per year are not admitted to Cornell because they fail to figure this step out.

… you are probably right, but it is true, 1,000 applicants are denied because they fail to designate a college & complete that college’s supplement.

When you first add the Cornell to CA and select your primary school, the writing supplement shows up, but it does not show in subsequent logins. The way we figured to make it appear again is by doing this.

Go to the Cornell supplement in CA
Click on Member questions
Select Academics
Go in Edit Mode
Delete the Primary Choice College/School by selecting the X
Continue

Now, select a different college in the Dashboard
Now select Cornell in dashboard
Click on Member questions
Select Academics
Go in Edit Mode
Select the Primary Choice College/School
Continue

The writing supplement for the major you have selected will show up.

Hope this helps!
