can someone please explain supplement question #1? should we basically reitereate the pts of our app that are important to US?
e.g. intended major: international relations
should i explain how i have focused most of my academic and extracurricular activities towards this interest? i feel like im just listing all those activities again, it's kinda lame.
how did other ppl answer this question?

ahh i wish someone had answered this. i need to know too! it is due in a few hours and i still have no idea...

I looked at this question as an opportunity to let them know something else about you that makes you desrving of an acceptance letter. If something is already apprent from your applicaion, don't focus on it or reiterate it again. You're just wasting this opportunity if you do that. Instead, find something that you haven't focused on or that isn't readily apparent from your file and build on that.

Good luck!

I don't necessarily agree with this...
NYU is a giant school with tons of applicants. The addcoms do not have all day to look at your application. This question allows you to clearly state your strongest case for why you should be offered admission. It should almost defineately be presented in the rest of your application

If it was not talked about in the other portion of your app then you would be neglecting what you claim to be the strongest case for your admission.
