After countless of revision on my Midd supplemental essay, I noted something was amiss; I was not exactly answering the essay prompt! The question asked about the community which I grew up from, its influence on me and the college community I want to join. But what I wrote was half about my own community and I wasn't really speaking on the college community at Midd, I was speaking of more about why I chose Middlebury. Please tell me would this have a bad impressive on the ad com? I've done so many revising and now I kindda feel I'm not really answering the essay prompt.. Getting worried. :(

I think your answer seems to be pretty much on track. I wrote my essay last year with a similar structure. I wrote about the community I was from and how that influenced my decision to apply to Midd. I then wrote about the similarities between my neighborhood and the community at Midd. I think you shouldn't worry too much about answering the prompt in any specific way. Let it flow, yet be concise.

Does anyone know what kind of length they're looking for on that thing?

Yeah I am wondering the same thing. Does anybody know????? My supp essay is about 625 words as of right now

I think about 600 to 700 is good. mine is a crazy 850 words. I tried to shorten it but i can't go much further I feel...

would anyone be interested in exchanging essays. Mine is kindof out there and i wanted an outsiders perspective.
